Valentines Day

Well the excitement of the New Year has worn off, some of us have already given up on their resolutions, did not make any or have re started to many times to count. I know I have! But as we approach the season of Love I have put together 2 simple outfit ideas for your date night out. Like I have mentioned many times before, I live in Canada so Valentines day fall on some of our coldest days of the year.

The main colours for Valentines day are red, pink and white. So I pulled out my red winter jacket as it is freezing and snowing this week! I paired this with the cutest backpack I got from H&M last week for $19.99. The keychain I got from Dollarama and added my name to it, but I am warning you, the keychain is insanely soft and I could not stop playing with it!

If you do not want a backpack look for your date, I suggest tying up the straps and using it as a purse! Adding that Disney Magic to a more formal look!

The next looks was a DIY!

Our valentines date every year has been the Auto Show here in Toronto as it always falls on that day, and both of us being car enthusiast's it is always a great day out. This year we were invited for the media preview so we got to see everything before the public and skip the crowds! It was a great time to see the unveiling the Lego Bugatti and speak with the designers and builders!

This look was made by an old denim jacket I have had in my closet for way to long and some fabric paint! I did spend some time trying to find a sweet & loving picture of the main couple, and fell on love with this one! I was able to eye it out and paint it from looking at my computer screen.

If you have a hard time or not confident enough yet to do that I suggest printing out the main image, and cutting it into big sections. Trace with a pen the image, cutting out smaller parts as you go to get the harder parts (like the hands). This will give you a great guideline to start painting! Another quick tip, place a pillow under the back of the jacket to help keep its shape as you paint, it also helps with staying comfortable when leaning on certain spots!

Tag or send me your Disney DIY's!

Happy Valentines Day!

Xoxo - Everday Minnie
