Pizza Planet DIY Costume!

This is the last of the 3 Under $10 and under 10 minutes DIY Costumes!

I left the more difficult for last so you have the weekend to make it!

To complete this DIY you will need:

Long sleeve Shirt (or T Shirt)

Pie or Pastry Box

Heat Transfer Vinyl

Iron

Exacto Knife

Stencil (Mirrored Image)

Regular Vinyl (651 or 631)

First lets start with the shirt, make sure you iron out the shirt so the vinyl adhere's flat with no bubbles.

Print out your logo, I googled Pizza Planet logo and chose one. Be sure to print as a mirrored image.

There are two ways of doing the next step, you can cut out the stencil and trace it on the matte side of the Heat Transfer Vinyl.

Or you can cut out the stencil ON TOP of the Heat Transfer Vinyl.

Once you have the image cut with an exacto knife, peel the extra pieces off, this process is called weeding.

When finished you should be able to turn the image onto the shiny side and see a finished logo.

I recommend placing a sheet onto of the plastic image to save your iron from getting ruined with melted plastic!

Place on the breast pocket area of the shirt, with the iron on high (no steam) press the image onto the shirt.

Apply pressure to the iron, and press until the plastic peels off the image with no pulling.

If you have time or wanted to challenge yourself, feel free to add the rest of the logo on the back of the shirt!

Next the Pizza Box!

Print out a stencil (not mirrored) and cut out!

Trace your stencil onto the Vinyl.

Use regular Vinyl (651 or 631) and an exacto knife to cut out your logo.

Peel and stick to your box.

I used a pastry or pie box form my local bake shop for a pizza box as I could not find a blank pizza box!

And this pie box was lighter and smaller for when you are carrying it around!

*Note: leave your box flat while applying the decal, this will keep its shape when folded.*

Fold your box and your costume is complete!

Total cost for Materials:

Shirt: $3 from Micheals Craft Store (clearance)

HTV: $15 from Micheals Craft Store (used only 1/4 of the roll)

Regular Vinyl: $2 from Micheals Craft Store (12x12 sheet)

Pie Box: $1.25 from Creative Bag Canada

Done!

Complete this look with a pair of jeans and some Disney shoes!
