What a better way to accessorize your outfit then with this simple and cheap Mickey DIY hat!
This was a 5 minute DIY, and the only reason it took 5 minutes was waiting for the glue gun to warm up!
Items you need:
Hat (any colour)
Yarn Pom Poms (any colour)
Glue Gun
First I started with this plain baseball cap. I bought this hat at Reitmans for only $3.99. It was on sale for $9.99 plus another 70% off. I picked up a couple for other DIY's later!
Next I bought these yarn pom pom's at Micheals craft store. They were in the cash checkout section where everything is $1.5o.
So yes they cost me $1.50 each.
I tied a long piece of black yarn around the middle of the pom pom. This will allow you to pull the string through the holes on the side of the hat.
Once you pull the yarn through, add a knot to the end (sitting against the inside of the hat) and add some hot glue to secure into place.
Remember to trim off the extra yarn from inside the hat.
And you are done!
This DIY is the best way to re-use old hat's you have not worn in a while, saving you money!
And if you already have yarn laying around, you can simply make your own pom pom's, making this project almost free!
